![]() He’s not a mixup machine but he has enough imo. I think the rewards don’t outweighs the cons, but if you’re guessing right more often then not than hydroplane can bail you out of damn near any situation if you have bar.Īs far as opening people up I think you have to use that movement, take some risks with his staggers and know those frames to create throw opportunities and get your opponents to think about when they’re gonna block and when they’re not. At high levels I would agree that it’s not fantastic, but I think his stuff is always meant to be about multiple reads and decisions. I actually wish it had a bit more range, if he did a little more forward advancing on the move it would be a great move IMO. I believe the thinking is his movement is so good that you can block and backdash or just walk back and bait the poke after b2 if they know about the disadvantage. I’ll stick with him in my mid tier, I have him as the 23rd ranked character in my own personal list but I also think past the top 15 or so in my mind it’s wildly jumbled and can be argued in a lot of different ways. I think he has a good balance of mind games, zoning, jumping game, combo and linking potential and can be made to have more ways to cover himself and mess with opponents with him specials. ![]() He doesn’t have many outright bad matchups and can play against every other character effectively, of course if you know what your doing. I do agree you have to have some knowledge of how the game works and be able to use your movement effectively along with having some knowledge of frames, but if you do then I don’t see how you wouldn’t consider him a solid all around character. ![]() Particularly ones that aren’t on top of the food chain. That’s true, but most every character operates in somewhat the same way with specials going from unsafe to safe with amping to some degree. Start your day right with a bowl of Kotal! Rain’s fatality: He summons a spinning saw blade that, despite being made of water, quarters Kahn and pops out his eyeballs, which Rain triumphantly displays. On offense, that weapon is called a katar, and it’s actually got three blades, as his foe finds out the hard way. Rain’s most frustrating ability is his defense, in which he turns to water as strikes and ranged attacks pass right through. Here we see the Prince of Edenia throwing down, with Kotal Kahn catching most of the hands. NetherRealm Studios dropped a gameplay trailer on Thursday morning (and immediately commented “First,” on its own upload) showcasing Rain’s hydroponic talents. After a 10-year drought (as a playable fighter), Rain joins Mortal Kombat 11 ’s roster on Nov.
